How to Make Churros at Home – Easy Crispy Mexican Dessert Recipe

 Churros are a classic Mexican dessert made from simple dough, deep-fried until golden and crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. They are rolled in cinnamon sugar and traditionally served warm with rich chocolate or caramel dipping sauce. Ingredients

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence

  • Oil (for frying)

For coating

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder

How to Make Churros

  1. Prepare the dough
    In a saucepan, add water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and add flour all at once. Stir continuously until the dough forms a smooth ball and pulls away from the pan.

  2. Cool & flavor
    Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Mix in vanilla essence.

  3. Pipe the churros
    Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.

  4. Fry
    Heat oil over medium heat. Pipe strips of dough directly into the hot oil.
    Fry until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally.

  5. Coat
    Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll hot churros in the mixture.
