  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

For stuffing

  • Mozzarella or cheddar cheese (cut into small cubes or sticks)

For coating

  • 1 egg (beaten) OR 3 tbsp milk (eggless option)

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • Oil for deep frying or shallow frying

🔥 How to Make Cheese Stuffed Croquettes

Step 1: Prepare the potato base

  1. Boil potatoes until soft.

  2. Mash them well until smooth.

  3. Add onion, chili, coriander, garlic, pepper, chili flakes, and salt.

  4. Mix everything until well combined.

  5. Add 1–2 tbsp flour if mixture feels too soft.

Step 2: Shape the croquettes

  1. Take a small portion of the potato mixture in your hand.

  2. Flatten it gently.

  3. Place a cheese cube in the middle.

  4. Seal and shape into a log or ball.

  5. Make sure the cheese is completely covered.

Step 3: Coat for crispiness

  1. Dip each croquette in beaten egg (or milk).

  2. Roll it in breadcrumbs until fully coated.

  3. For extra crunch, coat twice:

    • Egg → Breadcrumbs → Egg → Breadcrumbs

Step 4: Fry to golden perfection

  1. Heat oil on medium flame.

  2. Fry croquettes until golden brown and crispy.

  3. Remove and place them on tissue paper to drain excess oil.

💡 Tips for Best Results

  • Freeze shaped croquettes for 10 minutes before frying to prevent cheese leakage.

  • Add veggies like corn or carrots for extra flavor.
