🍗 Crispy Sweet Chilli Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
500g boneless chicken (thigh or breast), cut into bite-sized pieces
1/2 cup cornflour
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp garlic paste
Oil for deep frying
For the Sweet Chilli Sauce:
2–3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp vinegar (optional)
1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
1 tbsp water or cornstarch slurry (if you want a thicker glaze)
Garnish:
Sesame seeds
Spring onions (chopped)
🔥 Instructions
🍗 Frying the Chicken:

In a bowl, mix chicken with cornflour, flour, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic paste. Coat well.

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy. Set aside on paper towels.
🍯 Making the Sauce:

In another pan, add a little oil and sauté the garlic until fragrant.

Add sweet chilli sauce, ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, chili flakes, and mix well.

Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes. Add a cornstarch slurry if you want a thicker sauce.
🍽️ Combine & Serve:

Toss the crispy chicken in the sauce until well coated.

Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
