These delicious Sausage French Toast Rolls combine savory breakfast sausage with sweet and fluffy French toast for the ultimate breakfast treat! Perfectly golden brown and drizzled with syrup, they make a delightful morning meal.

Ingredients:

For the Sausage Rolls:

8 breakfast sausages (fully cooked or raw, depending on preference)
8 slices of white or brioche bread (crusts removed)
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
1/2 cup maple syrup (for drizzling)
Butter or oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Sausages:

If using raw sausages, cook them in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Set aside to cool slightly.
If using pre-cooked sausages, simply warm them up in the skillet or microwave.

Prepare the Bread:
Remove the crusts from each slice of bread and use a rolling pin to flatten them.
Place a sausage at one end of the flattened bread and roll it up tightly.

Prepare the Egg Mixture:
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sugar (if using)

Coat the Rolls:

Dip each rolled-up sausage into the egg mixture, ensuring it is fully coated but not overly soaked.

Cook the Rolls:

Heat a pan over medium heat and add butter or oil.
Place the coated rolls in the pan, seam-side down, and cook until golden brown on all sides (about 2–3 minutes per side).

Serve & Enjoy:
    Remove the rolls from the pan and place them on a serving plate.
    Drizzle with warm maple syrup and serve immediately.
