Hot Garlic Chicken Recipe | Restaurant-Style Chilli Garlic Chicken
This Hot Garlic Chicken is a delicious Indo-Chinese dish packed with bold garlic, chilies, and soy sauce flavors. It’s crispy, spicy, and loaded with umami goodness, just like in a restaurant! Perfect as a starter or side dish.
Ingredients:
For the Chicken Marinade:
500g boneless chicken (cut into bite-sized pieces)
2 tbsp cornflour
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 egg (optional, for extra crispiness)
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp red chili powder
1 tbsp soy sauce
Oil (for frying)
For the Sauce:
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
2-3 green chilies (slit)
1 medium onion (diced)
1 small capsicum/bell pepper (diced)
2 tbsp red chili sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp salt (adjust as needed)
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp red chili flakes (optional, for extra spice)
½ cup water
1 tsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp water (to thicken sauce)
1 tbsp chopped spring onions (for garnish)
Instructions:
Step 1: Marinate & Fry the Chicken

In a bowl, mix chicken pieces with cornflour, all-purpose flour, egg, ginger-garlic paste, salt, black pepper, red chili powder, and soy sauce.

Let it rest for 15-20 minutes to absorb flavors.

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the chicken on medium-high heat until crispy and golden brown. Remove and set aside.
